Copper Beats Own Prices With Online Tickets; Powder Day Passes Still Available
The lines at Copper Mountain ticket windows should be shorter these days, as the Colorado resort has ramped up deep discounts for day tickets purchased on the Internet.
Touting the “lowest price guarantee,” the online program promises to undercut any Copper Mountain ticket prices offered in package deals, special promotions, rewards programs and others – up to one day before arrival. Depending upon the date of purchase and number of days, the discounts go as deep as 42 percent.
The at-window price for an adult all-day ticket is $118, so the typical discounted price would be $72.
“Basically we have a certain amount of percentage off tickets per day, up to 42 percent off,” Austyn Williams, communications manager at Copper, told SnoCountry.com “Just like plane tickets, the cheaper tickets for a select day go first and the prices increases (or discount gets smaller) from there."
Offerings include single- and multi-day and combination tickets – with rental or lunch – for adults, children and seniors.
The kicker is that the number of these discounted tickets is limited, and prices change without notice.
In addition, pre-purchases of rental equipment and tubing garner a 20 percent discount off the regular price.
Also at Copper, the popular Snow Day Pass can be bought for $119 until Feb. 10. Whenever the resort’s official site reports four or more inches of new snow, Snow Day passholders get access to the freshies – regardless of day of the week – through the end of the season.
As a bonus, passholders can purchase two day tickets for $59 each – even on non-powder days – to be used by family, friends or even themselves.
