Coming Up In Michigan: Nubs Nob Mardi Gras, Treetops Music Festival, Mt. Brighton Slush Cup
Nubs Nob, one of northern Michigan's premier ski areas, is planning to stay open through April 13, and late season skiing and riding at the Nob is always a treat.
The discount period begins March 17 through the end of the season. Daily lift tickets will be $35 for adults and teens. Children, 9-12, are $28 and kids eight and under are free. Just in time for Spring Break.
Spring Ski & Ride promotion also begins March 17. Your lift tickets are included in your lodging rate when staying at one of the participating lodges in the Petoskey/Harbor Springs area. Rates start from $44 per person, per night, based on double occupancy.
Saturday, March 22, Nubs throws out its version of Mardi Gras. It's always a blast with fun and games for all. There's a costume contest, Crazy Couples contest, races, and don't miss the Soaker Cup Challenge; a real crowd pleaser. The Petoskey Steel Drum Band will be performing on the deck. Sunday, March 23, is the return of the Super Fun Park with Jump Line Jam, High Ollie Contest, rail jams, music, food and prizes for the best rider/skier of the day.
Treetops is hosting a new music event called SnowJam March14-15. Some of the featured artists include Audio Adrenaline, Kutless, Beacon Light, and Finding Favour. The event is held on the slopes with a stage made of snow. Cran J Hill Ranch will also be on hand offering a GoJZone area featuring archerytag, inflatables and a climbing wall. It’s a celebration of "family, faith, fun and land." Treetops is offering Sleep, Ski & Praise Lodging Packages starting from $89 per person, which includes the concert. Tickets to the music fest are $35 at the door.
Mt. Brighton holds its Slush Cup and Big Air Contest Saturday, March 22, starting at 1 p.m. It’s free to watch and is a popular spectator event.
