Combine Summer Visit To Big Sky Resort, Yellowstone National Park
Summertime and the living is easy especially if you have a western trip lined up to visit Big Sky Resort and nearby Yellowstone National Park, which make a great combo.
The park is less than an hour from the resort, which offers affordable lodging packages, especially for families, and a whole host of activities to keep guests busy when not visiting the park. Lots of sunshine and warm temperatures coupled with low humidity make it an ideal summer playground, especially if you come from the frequently sweltering lower Midwest and southern states.
The sky isn’t the only big thing at Big Sky Resort. So are the mountains, rivers and the summer experience in the breathtaking Gallatin and Spanish Peaks mountain ranges, and Yellowstone National Park’s western entrance is only 45 minutes away.
New this summer are free scenic chairlift rides for guests staying at Big Sky lodging properties, as well as guided mountain bike tours and downhill mountain bike coaching. In addition there are zipline courses, a high ropes course, golf on the award winning Arnold Palmer course, whitewater rafting, horseback rides, guided hiking tours, and Yellowstone park tours. Use Big Sky as your base camp to explore the region.
Arrive in July or later this summer and receive 10 to 30-percent off your lodging, depending on the number of nights you stay, in the Huntley Lodge through the end of summer.
Brewfest, one of Montana’s largest gatherings of local and regional microbrews, is July 11. It’s the 10th year for the festival and includes live music, barbecue food, and kid’s activities. The cost is $25, which includes 10 tasting tokens. Additional tokens are available for $1 each.
