Luckily for mountain town lovers, activities and events aren’t just for the winter. Whether you’re looking to go full-in on biking, music, beer or food (or perhaps them all), mountain resorts across the country are your destination for summer fun. Keep that adventure bucket full with this list from SnoCountry on not-to-miss summer events.

Join the longest running bike festival in the country at Crested Butte Bike Week, June 27-30, 2019. Family-friendly celebration attracts riders of all levels looking to explore the best of what Crested Butte has to offer. Bike week is now a multi-day celebration of all things mountain bike in the Gunnison Valley. Join for clinics, a film festival, the Chainless Downhill World Championships, good beer, and a great party.

Started in 1988, Grand Targhee Resort’s Bluegrass Festival, Aug. 9-11, 2019, has been a mainstay for Bluegrass aficionados for over two generations with stage appearances by national and internationally recognized artists. During the week leading up to the festival, many of the stage performers and artists play host to the Targhee Music Camp.

Named a top-10 summer event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Jay Peak’s Jeezum Crow Festival will be held Saturday, July 20, at the Stateside Amphitheater.  The all-ages event gets you a full day of music from popular bands from all over the nation. Line-up includes Balkun Brothers, The Suitcase Junket, Aqueous, The Elovaters, The Motet and Lettuce.

Celebrate 15 years of great beer in the scenic White Mountains of New Hampshire at Loon Mountain Resort. The 15th Annual New England Brewfest happens Saturday, June 22, 2019. Beer aficionados can savor brand-new brews and enjoy the one-of-a-kind sights of the beautiful White Mountains.

The Grand Traverse region, near Michigan’s Shanty Creek, is known for its world-record tart cherry harvest. Traverse City is hosting the weeklong National Cherry Festival, now in its 93rd year, June 29-July 6. It draws around a half-million attendees from around the country. Everything is located conveniently within walking distance, and since almost all events - over 150 - are free, it offers more than a week of affordable family fun.
