The endless season at Boyne Mountain, Mich. continues this weekend as resort officials have decided to keep its lifts running to take advantage of the still solid snow conditions.
“The snow conditions are just too good to stop,” said Ed Grice, Boyne president and general manager. “We had a big crowd here last weekend to take advantage of the skiing, especially on Sunday when it was warm and sunny, and look forward to another great weekend of skiing and snowboarding.”
Grice said it has been 16 years since Boyne was able to offer skiing this late in April. The resort stopped daily skiing and riding April 7, but has been open each weekend since. The resort plans to have some 170 skiable acres and 25 trails open for the weekend. Lift tickets are $25 for all age groups. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
