Bohannon Freestyle FIS Rookie Of Year; Little News Out Of Alpine Cups

Mac BohannonMac Bohannon from Madison, Ct. picked up International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle Rookie of the Year honors, after finishing 13th in men’s aerial competition at Lake Placid, N.Y. Saturday night. American veteran Emily Cook was fifth for the women.

The alpine World Cups were not much to write home about in Europe. Bode Miller did pick up his first slalom points since 2011 with a 26th place finish Sunday. Ted Ligety did not qualify for the second run.

The women’s World Cup downhill postponed to Sunday from Saturday because of weather was cancelled again.
