Big Sky, Whitefish Holiday Packages Still Available; Montana Deals Into New Year
Montana’s two largest snowsports resorts have lift and lodging packages through the holidays and beyond, but some future bookings need to be made before Christmas. Check out holiday activities at Big Sky and Whitefish Mountain.
Whitefish Mountain Resort is featuring a Santa Torchlight Parade on Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve celebrations include a rail jam, torchlight parade and fireworks over Ed’s Run, and live music at the Bierstube.
Frequent Skier Cards, which reduce an adult daily lift ticket to $45, are still available through Dec. 24. An adult daily lift ticket is $69 this season. The resort is featuring a January White Sale. Book two nights lodging and two days skiing or riding and get a third night and day free. The offer is good Jan. 4-31, including Martin Luther King weekend.
Save 10-percent on already discounted ski and stay March packages when you book by 5 p.m., Dec. 23. Hibernation House lift and lodging packages that include a breakfast, valid Sunday through Thursday nights start from $84.
Big Sky Resort will be celebrating the holidays with lots of Santa sightings and torchlight parade down Andesite Mountain at 8 p.m. Santa will be strolling around the resort from 5-7 p.m. passing out candy canes and with a photographer from Crystal Images to capture that perfect holiday picture with the kids. He will also be making appearances Christmas morning at breakfast buffets in Huntley Lodge and The Peaks and skiing on the mountain later that day. Busy fellow.
New Year’s Eve parties with live music will be taking place at Whiskey Jack’s and Jack Creek Grille. Tickets to hear the Cure for the Common, 9:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m., at Whiskey Jack’s are $25 in advance and $40 at the door. Lift and lodging packages starting from $114 per person, per day, based on double occupancy, includes three nights lodging, two-day lift tickets and breakfast.
The resort is offering a Montana Package this winter that is exclusively geared towards locals and the surrounding area. It starts at $120 per night, per person, based on double occupancy, and includes two nights slopeside lodging, lift tickets, and breakfast.
