Aspen Opens For Skiing To Kick Off Summer

Pack up the bikes, boots and boards and head to Aspen for a Memorial Day weekend of dirt and SNOW! Aspen Mountain will officially kick off the summer season again this year with skiing off the top of Ajax.
A buttery 120 acres of terrain will open this weekend for skiing and riding when Aspen opens for scheduled summer operations over Memorial Day weekend. Skiing will be off the Ajax Express chair on the upper part of the mountain, with uploading and downloading on the Silver Queen Gondola. Skiing will be open from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. with sightseeing open until 4 p.m. and the Sundeck will be open for food and beverage service.
When you’re done skiing and snowboarding for the day, head down valley to Carbondale and bust out the mountain bike. Many of the lower elevation trails are dry and ridable, including the Prince Creek Trail System.
Lift tickets are $39 a day for adults, children, teens and seniors. Sightseeing tickets are $19. Got a Mountain Collective pass? Then enjoy a $19 lift ticket.
