Aspen Mountain Re-Opens For Spring Skiing Memorial Day Weekend

Aspen Spring Skiing

Thanks to a number of spring storms and a deep snow pack on Ajax Mountain, Aspen is spinning the lifts for skiing and snowboarding Memorial Day Weekend.

The Silver Queen Gondola and Ajax Express will turn from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and all terrain that ends at the Ajax Express will be open, including black diamond terrain on Sunrise, Sunset and Blondie’s (and double diamond terrain on Summit.)

Snow conditions are expected to be “classic early summer.” The Silver Queen Gondola will run till 4:00 p.m. for foot passengers. You won’t be able to ski/ride to the base of Aspen Mountain, so downloading on the gondola is required when you’re done shredding.

Aspen joins Arapahoe Basin, Mammoth, Whistler Blackcomb, Timberline, Mt. Bachelor and Snowbird in offering spring turns this weekend.
