The 52nd edition of the Albany Ski & Snowboard Expo runs this weekend (Nov. 1-3) in the Empire State Plaza, and features discounts throughout the event.
Price reductions include online purchases of expo tickets, reduced lift ticket prices and good deals on the latest equipment.
“We see lots of families and first-timers at the show,” General Manager Jamie Georgelos of Alpin Haus ski and snowboard shop told SnoCountry.com. “We took it from closing out old inventory to now using it to introduce new product at excellent pricing.”
Georgelos also said that “with the combination of an excellent 2012-2013 snow season, together with Killington already running some lifts, there is burgeoning interest in the Albany consumer show.
“We’ve been getting lots of calls right now,” he added. “Whenever we come off a good snow year, we see positive results.”
If visitors to the Albany Expo require re-fueling, this weekend’s show will have a first-time culinary event in the form of Fire and Ice Winter Food Tasting, where seven local restaurants will serve up their best chili, soup and stew on Saturday afternoon. All proceeds go to charity.
