Alaska Airlines Begins New Service Between Portland-Reno/Tahoe

New, daily, non-stop air service on Alaska Airlines from Portland, Ore. to the Reno/Tahoe area in California starts Nov. 8. The inaugural flight will include Jonny Moseley, Olympic Gold medalist and Squaw Valley’s Chief Mountain Host.

Flights leave Portland at 11:10 a.m., arriving in Reno at 12:45 p.m. Service from Reno to Portland leaves at 1:15 p.m. and arrives at 2:50 p.m. Portland-Reno service was last operated by Alaska Airlines in 2009.

The Portland-Reno/Tahoe flights will be flown for Alaska Airlines by Horizon Air on a 76-seat Bombardier Q400. The Reno-Tahoe International Airport is 45 minutes from many of the Lake Tahoe ski resorts, including Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.
