Rosa Khotur, Russia (Feb. 11) American Superstar  Shaun White (Carlsbad, CA) ended his reign as Olympic Champion dating back to 2006 by finishing fourth in the men's halftime competition Tuesday night at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.

White fell twice in his first run. Gold went to Louri Podladrchikov from Switzerland. White had opted out of the new slopestyle event to concentrate on his halfpipe specialty.

Meanwhile at the Laura Cross Country Ski Center in Krasnaya Polyana, World Champion Kikkan Randall (Anchorage, AK) suffered a heartbreaking loss Tuesday when she was knocked out of a stunning individual freestyle sprint event.

Randall was heavily favored to win but did not advance past the quarterfinal round, finishing fourth in her heat at the Laura Cross Country Ski Center.

Also Tuesday: Devin Logan (West Dover, VT) made history Tuesday earning a silver medal in the debut of slopestyle skiing at the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games.
