The record-breaking summer for both occupancy and revenue among western mountain resorts is concluding and the positive momentum is carrying into the winter booking season according to DestiMetrics,* an organization that tracks mountain lodging bookings at 19 western mountain resorts in six states.

Welch Village Ski and Snowboard Resort in Minnesota is launching season number 50 this month with a celebration concert Saturday night, Oct. 25, outdoors at the base of the Lookout slope. The concert will feature two local bands, “Lost Highway” and special guest “Them Pesky Kids.” There will be a fireworks display at 8:30 p.m.
