With a goal of “supporting local skiing and riding,” Londonderry, Vermont’s Magic Mountain is offering $15 lift tickets on every non-holiday and non-powder day “Throwback Thursday,” beginning Jan. 2, 2014.
First-time skiers and riders can take advantage of a Learn to Ski or Ride Package at Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows for $49, Sat., Dec. 14 and Sun., Dec. 15.
Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are once again offering it’s Shop, Dine And Ski Free program. Spend $500 at shops or restaurants in The Village at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows and get a complimentary lift ticket or two aerial tram tickets for winter or summer.
Intermediate skiers and snowboarders looking to move up to the next ability level have a friend at Homewood Mountain Resort at Lake Tahoe, Calif. The resort is offering its guests free lessons this winter.
Three northern ski areas – Whitefish Mountain Resort in Montana, Grand Targhee Resort in Wyoming, and Mt. Bachelor in Oregon have teamed to offer the Mountain West 6-Pack. Ski or ride three days at each resort.
Out-of-state destination visitors can take advantage of half-price lift tickets within 24 hours of their arrival at Salt Lake City International Airport. It’s called the “Boarding Pass.”
