Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows once again hosts a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at High Camp Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27. Olympic slalom champion Michaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail) won her first-ever giant slalom Saturday at Soelden, Austria. She had a very narrow .09 second margin over Austrian Anna Fenniger, then came from behind. She literally scorched the bottom flats of the course in her second run to tie Fenninger for the podium's top step.
