Tomorrow five lifts will spin from 10:00am - 8pm. Vista and the Mighty Mite will open at 10:00am, followed by Snowflake at 10:30am, Timberline at 11:00am and Mid-Mountain at 4pm. Notice that Timberline will be open with access to 3 trails, however there is no unloading at mid-station. (Be sure to check out the new South of Solitude Mexican cantina at Timberline) Groomers will get to work tonight on 18 trails leaving behind a packed powder surface.

Catamount Trail Uphill at Night Race Series - Uphill Race series will take place at Bolton Valley Resort for some casual competition. The Wednesday Night Uphill Series is a citizen race series organized by the Catamount Trail Association. There are two main courses we will be alternating between, and one longer course which we will bring out for our last race of the season. Being stuck at work all day is a huge downer but coming to Uphill Series at Bolton Valley after allows you to get a great workout and some killer views.

Night Rider Series - Skiers and riders compete under the lights in the Bolton Valley terrain parks for prizes four Wednesday nights this year. On March 2nd there will be a Night Rider Series Final where prizes and giveaways will be given out to top racers as well as individual categories. The event set-up changes each week to keep things fresh. Come to every event and collect points for bigger prizes to be given away on the final day of the series. Catamount Backcountry Trail Express - Come explore one of the more natural and beautiful backcountry ski trails in Vermont along Section 22 of the Catamount Trail. During the first three Saturdays in February the Catamount Trail Express will offer shuttle service between the parking lot off Old County Road in Nebraska Valley, and Bolton Valley Nordic Center. This will allow a participant to ski from Bolton Valley back to their car in Nebraska Valley without having to deal with the hassle of setting up your own car shuttle. Schedule: 10:00AM Pickup at Old Country Road Parking Lot in Nebraska Valley; 10:15AM Depart Nebraska Valley; and 11:00AM Drop off at Bolton Valley Nordic Center

The Telemark Turn is an introductory level class for the beginning and intermediate telemark skiers looking to develop and refine their skills. This course is for skiers looking to tackle more challenging terrain, or those who want to spice up tours by being able to take better advantage of skiable downhill areas. This course will take place on easy, lift-accessed, downhill terrain and will emphasize skill demonstration, practice, and technique evaluation. The emphasis during this track will be learning by doing. Topics covered will be layering strategies, what to pack, efficient travel, stopping, speed control, turning, and downhill strategies. Introduction to Nordic Training with Catamount Trail Association - This introductory course is aimed at the new skier looking to try point-to-point backcountry touring on the Catamount Trail or other similar trails using lightweight nordic touring equipment. The course will emphasize skill demonstration, practice, evaluation and feedback. Likely participants might never have been on skis before, but will probably have some skiing experience and are now interested in getting off the beaten path. Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge - IT IS BACK! The Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge is returning to Bolton Valley on Saturday February 27, 2016. Known for its fun, family-oriented recreational racing, the Vertical Challenge event encourages the whole family to have fun on the slopes while working toward earning some fun prizes and giveaways. Frigid Infliction - The Outdoor Gear Exchange Frigid Infliction is returning to Bolton Valley on Saturday March 5, 2016. Frigid Infliction is a 10-hour winter adventure race for teams of two or three. We use an accelerated cutoff system which allows us to really challenge experienced teams while providing a great race for the first timers. If you have never done an adventure race before, this is the perfect one to start with. This was the first adventure race for about a third of the participants the past four years, so don't be intimidated.

Vermont Land Trust Tours - Come explore some of the 1,100+ acres that VLT protected in 2013 and see why the community rallied to the cause of saving this special place. Join VLT, the Catamount Trail Association, Bolton Friends, and the Green Mountain Club for a day of ski and snowshoe tours followed by an après-ski gathering. Split and Surfest - Splitfest is back again to fill your day will demos, merchandise, food and some local beer. You'll be exploring our backcountry on splitboards and all mountain snowboards. There will be free demos available if you do not have your own equipment or happen to be interested in trying something new. During the day there will be clinics, games, tours, food and beer! 24 Hour Backcountry Skimo and Splitboard Race - Native Endurance's is hosting New England's first ever 24-hour backcountry ski and splitboard race here at Bolton Valley. The race will be held March 19-20, and will offer two challenging courses - a daytime loop in Bolton's backcountry, and an overnight loop on Bolton's groomed terrain. Participants will compete for the most overall laps in a 24-hour (or 12-hour) period. Randonnée (alpine touring/skimo racers), tele skiers, and splitboarders are welcome to test their endurance in what is sure to be the most talked about race in Vermont this winter.
