Michigan’s Nick Baumgartner Going To His Third Olympics

Nick Baumgartner, who lives in Iron River in the Wolverine State’s UP and calls Ski Brule his “home hill,” got word last week that he has been named to the U.S. Olympic snowboardcross team. He also competed in the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics.

Pats Peak Fans Loving New Peak Triple Chair

The ol’ Peak Double Chair at southern New Hampshire’s Pats Peak was a good one. But with a new triple chair lift, Pats Peak has doubled the capacity of the lift from 800 to 1,600 people per hour. A conveyor carpet system makes loading easier and faster, cutting down on the ride time to the summit.
