At certain times during the season, when a lot of snow falls, so do the ropes of closed trails at the hands of the Wildcat Mountain ski patrol. There is a consideration for safety, but an eye for opening certain trails in their natural state whenever possible that is unique to Wildcat Mountain. Over a foot of new snow this past week certainly improves the conditions of our groomed trails, but it is through the efforts of our patrollers, like Nate Peters seen and heard in this week's video, that we begin to really see the legend of Wildcat Mountain.
