In 1947, Skiing Hall of Fame member, Walt Schoenknecht, created Mohawk Mountain Ski Area amidst the beauty of the Southern Berkshire Mountain. The following winter he invented snowmaking, which is currently used at winter resorts throughout the world. Mohawk Mountain offers skiing and boarding to all ages on 24 trails, Mohawk uses state of the art snowmaking equipment, five chairlifts, two “wonder carpet” for beginners and amenities for all snow sport enthusiasts. | Night and day we are the one.
