In 1947, Skiing Hall of Fame member, Walt Schoenknecht, created Mohawk Mountain Ski Area amidst the beauty of the Southern Berkshire Mountain. The following winter he invented snowmaking, which is currently used at winter resorts throughout the world. Mohawk Mountain offers skiing and boarding to all ages on 24 trails, Mohawk uses state of the art snowmaking equipment, five chairlifts, two “wonder carpet” for beginners and amenities for all snow sport enthusiasts.
Night and day we are the one. Mount Southington is Connecticut’s convenient location for both skiing and snowboarding for all ages and for all ability-levels. Novice trails that gently glide down sloping hillsides as well as down-hill runs that challenge and excite are just some features of this popular ski area. Children’s learning area, school ski clubs, competitive high school racing teams, Terrain Park and our Flex Tickets.

Experience great New England skiing surrounded by all the breathtaking beauty and natural charm of Connecticut's Litchfield County and scenic Farmington Valley. Ski Sundown is open day and night offering 15 trails, 5 lifts and 100% snowmaking. A trail mix encompassing beginner, intermediate and advanced runs affords pleasant views and both easy and challenging terrain on 65 skiable acres including 2 terrain parks and a separate Sunnyside Learning Area. Facilities include a spacious lodge with food court and lounge, mountain view deck, full service rental and repair shop, retail shop and PSIA/AASI member ski and snowboard school.
 
More of a winter playground than a ski area, Woodbury has something for everyone. This small family area in the Litchfield Hills, just 25 minutes northwest of Danbury, offers a wide variety of winter activities. There’s a special mogul run, two half pipes, a quarter pipe, a large terrain park with multiple hits, a tubing and sledding park with a dedicated lift, seven kilometers of cross-country trails and night skiing.
