Berkshire East, nicknamed the "Beast," is located on Mt. Institute, alongside the Deerfield River, in historic Charlemont Massachusetts. Boasting 45 trails, 6 lifts, two lodges, and a warm family friendly environment, Berkshire East offers guests remarkable winter time value in the overpriced world of modern skiing. The Beast offers many options for children and is also one of the premier racing facilities in Southern New England. | Owned and operated by the Springfield Ski Club since 1936, Blandford has earned a venerable place in New England skiing history. A mere 30 minutes west of Springfield and even closer to the city's western suburbs, Blandford has been teaching area families how to ski or snowboard since its beginning. Blandford has 465 feet of vertical, some two dozen trails, a ½ pipe, a terrain park and offers night skiing. All trails and slopes lead down to a base lodge with a view up the hill.

Take a small hill just minutes from downtown Boston, add lifts and snowmaking, a busy race schedule and a lesson plan for nearly everyone, and you've described Blue Hills. 8 trails, 4 lifts, great teaching facility, night skiing, and a tubing park with its own lift. Six trails are served by two doubles, a magic carpet, and a learning carousel in the novice area. With Boston's skyline dominating the view, it almost goes without saying that tiny Blue Hills may arguably have the biggest choice of après-ski fun in New England. | Bousquet boasts an enviable location a few miles south of Pittsfield, the largest city in the Berkshires. With 21 trails almost evenly divided by ability level, two double chairs and three surface lifts, and most of the terrain available after dark, the mountain hums day and night to the sound of happy kids and adults. The kids may be laughing and learning in Bousquet's Ski School, a fixture since 1935. The adults may be getting ready to hit the gates in a night racing league.
